INFORMATION ON COOKIES

In accordance with Law 34/2002, of 11 July, on Information Society and Electronic Commerce Services (LSSI), with regard to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and the Council, of 27 April 2016, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on Personal Data Protection and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), it is compulsory to obtain the user’s express consent for all the web pages that use dispensable cookies, before browsing the pages.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies and other similar technologies such as local shared objects, flash cookies or pixels, are tools used by Web servers to store and recover information about their visitors, as well as to offer a correct running of the site.

By using these devices, Web servers can remember some details regarding users, such as their preferences for the display of that server’s pages, name and password, products of interest, etc.

COOKIES AFFECTED BY THE REGULATIONS AND EXEMPTED COOKIES

According to the EU Directive, cookies requiring the informed consent from the user are the analytical, advertising and affiliation cookies, exempting those of a technical nature and those necessary for the web site running or the provision of the services expressly requested by the user.

The information gathered with this type of cookies is used to measure the activity of the web sites, application or platform and to create browsing profiles of the users of the sites, applications and platforms, in order to introduce improvements according to the analysis of the use data from the service users.

  • Advertising cookies: are those that allow the management, in the most efficient manner, of the advertising spaces that, if any, the editor has included in the web page, application or platform from which he provides the service requested based on criteria such as the edited content or the frequency in which ads are shown.

  • Behavioural advertising cookies: they gather information about the user’s preferences and personal choices (retargeting) to allow the management, in the most efficient manner, of the advertising spaces that, if any, the editor may have included in the web page, application or platform from which he provides the service requested.

  • Social cookies: are established by social media platforms in the services to allow you to share content with your friends and networks. Social media platforms have the capacity to track your on-line activity outside the Services. This may affect the content and messages you see in other services you visit.

  • Affiliate cookies: allow to make a follow-up of visits coming from other webs, with which the web site establishes an affiliation agreement (affiliation companies).
